Treasure Hunt- Blitzschlag Part-1

Organising treasure hunt in the Blitzschlag'15 was an awesome experience. I along with Neeraj and apparently another guy X organised it.
The very idea of organising it started about a week ago with Neeraj and X with Neeraj being the mian organiser. I was keen on participating in it because i always enjoy treasure hunts. I tried to form a tram but as the number of participants in a team could not have exceeded 5, it was difficult to make a team and then i decided not to participate but to help neeraj in organising it. So i went and asked him if i could be a  part of the organising team and he agreed. Then i and Neeraj decided as to what all rules we could have and the places we would hide the clues and umpteen number of things. One thing that we both agreed on was that we were not going to tell the clues to X as in the past he had done things which made him untrustworthy.
So we went on a night walk at around 11 in the night two days day before the treasure hunt. Neeraj had made posters and had uploaded them and also he had made the google form for the registrations. We took an entire tour of college and marked places which were relatively unknown to people and decided to hide the clues there.
When we returned we started making the clues and we slept when we were done. By 5 PM that day around 20 teams had registered and we were expecting a total of 30-35 teams to register. The same day we had our ED Cell's Farewell so i went there. Had loads of fun. But when i returned at around 10PM..50 teams had already registered and the form was to be closed by 11:30. By the time the registrations closed nearly 70 teams had registered and managing 70 teams was a nearly impossible task for 2 people. But what really worried us was that we were prepared for only 35-40 teams at the max and seeing such a participation was ......... Neeraj had printed around 50 sets of clues to be on the safer side but we were not prepared for such a response. then we went to the CACS office at night only to find it closed. then we got the keys from the OS. We printed another 20 sets of clues cut them in halves. But the biggest task of coding the clues so that only one team can take the clue was the most difficult task. We prepared a coding system and then typed it on excel sheet which consumed about 2 hours as we had to make sure that no team gets the same clue twice. And then writing the codes on the 560 clues was............ you know right.. writing the code of the next clue inside and the code of the current clue outside for identification and then folding it and stapling it, the sheer idea of doing it was unimaginable and that too we had 6 hours for the treaure hunt to begin. We started it and did the first lot by around 6. then we arranged the clues as to which code will be dropped where and then i and neeraj took turns dropping those clues. We then had to call our friends to help us in coding the rest set of clues. It was only because of them that we were able to organise it.
To be frank, i dont know what we wuld have done had they not been there.
Then came the most important person X after a sweet slumber and asked us if there was something for him to do. All i knew was that i had to control my anger. Well once the coding was complete, i and neeraj rushed off to the venue in the same attire and started assembling people to tell them the rules and regulations. Well, it so happened tht soeone had removed the clues fromt heir places. so while some teams had an awesome day.. some were....

RABTHAMBORE TRIP-Part-1

The trip

5 december 2013 was supposed to be the day for physics papers to be shown. but who cares.. everybody was more excited about the Ranthambore trip which was supposed to happen after the end of the  strenuous and nothing less than a horror movie .. the end term exams .. which made people who topped their respective schools and colleges worry about the flunking..
lets not talk about things that arent important and lets get back to the ranthambore trip.
initially about 12 people were supposed to go. but due to some reasons only 10 of us went.. i, nishant ( he is from oman ) bassooma. mooosa , ali ( these three from yemen .. now they dnt know hindi properly .. nishant is a NRI whereas these three are foreign nationals) kripali, manisha lalit sarvesh and the evergreen lakhan ( from nepal)(you must have obviously loved the tune My name is lakhan.. sajno ka sajan)
lalit is a day scholar so he was suppsed to reach the station on his own at 5:15 in the morning. what was amazing is that lalit is famous for getting up late and missing the initial periods.. by late i mean .. umm 10 am and we were all doubtful that he would make it.
all the other 9 were supposed to assemble at PMC (piya milan chauraha ) at 4:15 am but i was sure that nobody was gonna make it on time so i asked them to assemble at 4:00. but contrary to my expectations they came at 4:30. in the meantime called the auto which we had booked a day before as you dont find autos easily early in the morning. to add to our already late schedule. the autowala did not pick up the the call. so nishant went to the gate and arranged for the autos while i and sarvesh kept on calling the others to come fast if they did not wish to miss the train.
somehow or the other we did manage to get on the train 'quite comfortably'. in the train we played TDS ( truth dare and situation.. a favourite among teens ) ..sang songs and laughed  we got down at the sawai madhopur at 7:45 after the short train journey of 2 hours.
took an auto and went to the market famous for its kachoris and samosas.. even the yemenis who are 'pure' non veg liked it and that came as a surprise to us. then we went to  the booking centre to collect our online boarding passes where unfortunately the booking centre was closed and was to open at 12:30. So now what to do ? there came technology at its best .. GPS .. places to visit.. none restaurants none.. how the hell do the people live here.. and not to forget its a big town with a train stopover time of 10 minutes.amazing..
what we did ?
went to a park.. clicked photos.. with some expert photography comments from moosa.. you see sa'moosa'..
